DESCRIPTION:Hosted By Judy Owen\n \nLost for more than 1\,500 years\, the Gospel of Mary is the only existing early\nChristian Gospel written by a woman. In this workshop we will discuss the recovery\nof this remarkable gospel and the hidden truths about Mary Magdalene found in\nwritings\, stories and art. \nWe meet a woman so powerful\, that her teachings were\ndestroyed\, and her story buried until now. It is a journey that takes us through the\ncrusades\, troubadours\, and Cathar communities. We learn about her relationship\nwith Jesus (Yeshua)\, the crucial part she played in Jesus’s ministry\, and her\nministry following the crucifixion. \nThis is a story that goes beyond the woman to\nher destiny influencing us today. She becomes fully present to us again at a time\nwhen we are clearing the pain and grief of thousands of years of oppression\,\nsuppression\, voicelessness\, sexual abuse and even being burned at the stake.
